Soldiers and nurses research and pilgrimages

The Frank MacDonald Memorial Prize promotes the ANZAC spirit and remembers Tasmania's involvement in military history by researching soldiers and nurses who served in World War One.

Participants of the Frank MacDonald Memorial Prize undertake their research prior to the study tour and the itinerary is based on visiting the battle or burial location of their chosen soldier or nurse where possible.

The information shared on the Frank MacDonald Memorial Prize website reflects the individual members research project and the content is that person’s interpretation of the facts. The Department of Communities Tasmania does not take responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of the information provided.

Warning:  Some of the webpages profiling soldiers may contain images of deceased Aboriginal people which may offend Aboriginal and Torres Strait people.
