John William O'Halloran

By Deeds, Not Words Alone

St Virgil's College student Jaidyn Gluskie researched Corporal John William O'Halloran, an Old Virgilian, for the Frank MacDonald Memorial Study Tour in 2017.

By researching Corporal O'Halloran, Jaidyn felt a connection with the World War One soldier who had attended the same school in Hobart, Tasmania, over a century ago.

For the pilgrimage to the Western Front, Jaidyn delivered information about Corporal O'Halloran's descendants and messages about how the soldier will forever be part of the school community.
