Private Harry Roberts
- The State President of RSL Tasmania, Robert Dick, at the grave of Private Harry Roberts, in Belgium.
"I was next to Roberts when he was wounded at Zonnebeke about 4/5 Oct. 17. He was hit in the stomach. I took his equipment off him and much doubt if he lived to reach the Dressing Station."

Private Harry Roberts, a labourer from Huonville, Tasmania, endured much suffering after enlisting on 10 June 1915. He served at Gallipoli, suffered from scarlet fever, was wounded in France on 9 August 1916 and transferred to England.
On 15 September 1917, Private Roberts proceeded to join 26th Battalion . On 3 October 1917, Private Roberts was wounded in action, in Belgium. Private A Hall 898, 26th Australian. C.Coy 9th Platoon saw him wounded:
"…He was a chum of mine; he came from Tasmania. On 4th October … I saw (Harry) Roberts …badly wounded. I heard afterwards he had died."
Private Harry Roberts died of wounds received in action on 5 October 1917.
His body is buried at Nine Elms British Military Cemetery, west of Ypres, Belgium.
The State President of RSL Tasmania, Robert Dick, paid his respects to Private Roberts when he visited his grave for the Frank MacDonald Memorial Study Tour in 2014.
Robert Dick is also a member of the Centenary of ANZAC Steering Committee.
