Corporal Charles Butler

Charles Butler, of Chudleigh, Tasmania, was one of five brothers who enlisted in World War One.

On 4 September 1916, both Herbert and Charles Butler were reported missing in action, and then classified as killed in action at Mouquet Farm, in France. Their bodies were never to be found.

Jillian Hoogenhout, of Leighland Christian School, researched Corporal Charles Butler for the Frank MacDonald Memorial Study Tour, in 2017.
