The information provided means that we are much better informed about what Tasmanians with disability and our other stakeholders think needs to happen to make Tasmania a safe and inclusive place to live.
The consultation feedback, summarised in the Consultation Outcomes Report, has now been considered. On the basis of this, Government has committed to create an entirely new Disability Inclusion Act that will promote the human rights of Tasmanians with disability and strengthen the Government’s commitment to an equitable, inclusive and accessible State.
A Disability Inclusion Bill 2023 is currently being drafted and will be open for consultation soon.
