A new Aboriginal Cultural Leave provision has been included in relevant TSS Awards. Access to paid leave under the new Aboriginal Cultural Leave provision enables and supports Aboriginal employees in the TSS to maintain their Cultural identity when they come to their workplace.

The TSS recognises the importance of Aboriginal employees meeting their obligations to family, Community, and Culture; and recognises the importance of Aboriginal employees participating in Cultural observances, Aboriginal Community gatherings, meetings and events, whilst maintaining their employment within the TSS.
