National Disability Insurance Scheme

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS is the new way of providing support for Australians living with a disability, their families and carers.

The NDIS will help people with disability achieve their goals. This may include greater independence, community involvement, employment and improved wellbeing.

The NDIS also provides people with disability, their families and carers with information and referrals to existing support services in the community.

To find out more about the NDIS in Tasmania visit the NDIS website, call 1800 800 110 or search for a local NDIS office.

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is an independent agency established to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services.

We work with NDIS participants, service providers, workers and the community to implement a new nationally consistent approach so that across Australia participants can access services and supports that promote choice, control and dignity. Learn more about NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
