Woman's Christian Temperance Union

Ethel Searle was elected Suffrage Superintendent of the WCTU in 1893, after Jessie Ackermann reinvigorated the Tasmanian Union. She read a paper on suffrage at a private house and at that year's state conference. Her involvement seems to have stopped early in the suffrage agitation.
