Private James William Levis

Related or coincidence?

When Frankie Munro, of Taroona High School, was researching Private Harcourt Adams for the Frank MacDonald Memorial Study Tour 2018, he watched a video by Peter Pickering, commemorating the Hobart men of the 26th Battalion, in which a familiar name caught his attention, James William Levis.  Levis was Frankie's mother's maiden name. However, family members had not heard of James William Levis.

After searching ancestry files, it was discovered that James William Levis was a cousin of Frankie's great-grandfather, John (Jack) Young Levis.  Frankie felt a duty to share his story to ensure James William Levis was not forgotten

Research important for remembering
