Natalie Sankey

Veterans' Reference Group

Natalie Sankey served in the Royal Australian Navy’s Communications Branch where she gained a broad range of experiences and was posted to several Australian locations, including remote localities and ship postings.

Natalie understands the challenges for partners and families of the military as she was married to a civilian during her Naval service.

Natalie has a special interest in the needs of Women Veterans and is a volunteer Regional Coordinator of Northern Tasmania for Women Veterans Network Australia. She is also a volunteer of the RSL Launceston’s Australian Defence Force Welfare Team.

After Naval service, Natalie raised two children and worked in a range of areas including elite sport, Primary and Mental Health Departments, audiology and most recently as a Funeral Director.

Natalie is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of others and feels privileged to be a member of the Veterans’ Reference Group to improve the lives of Veterans and their families.
