Woman's Christian Temperance Union

Mrs. Breeton-Braham was married to a Launceston storekeeper. After Jessie Rooke's sudden death in 1906, she became acting state president of the WCTU, and was soon officially elected to the position - which she held till her resignation in 1912.

She remained, however, as Launceston president until 1914, when ill-health forced her resignation.
