Melissa Foale

Veterans Reference Group

After enlisting into the Australian Regular Army in 2002 as a medical technician, Melissa FoaleMelissa served 13 years before transferring to the Reserves and is still an Active Reservist.

Having worked in occupational rehabilitation for more than eight years, Melissa supports veterans in the Department of Veterans’ Affairs rehabilitation programs.

Melissa enjoys mentoring others and is passionate about personal growth. She has completed a Certificate IV in Mental Health as part of a Tasmanian Government scholarship and is a mental health first aid instructor. Melissa is a member of Mental Health Lived Experience Tasmania.

Melissa is a 'mate' at Mates4Mates, a member of RSL Tasmania and sub-branch Lindisfarne, and Regional Coordinator for Tasmania for the Women Veterans Network Australia.

Melissa is married to a veteran and firefighter, has three children and enjoys camping and travelling in her spare time.

Melissa is passionate about veterans and their family's wellbeing, improving support, resources and opportunities. Melissa feels privileged to be a member of the Veterans' Reference Group.
