If an individual has been impacted by the recent August/September 2024 floods and storms, they may be eligible for one or more of the Recovery and Restoration Grants.
Recovery and Restoration Grants provide assistance to meet needs in the medium to longer term for people who, because of an eligible natural disaster have incurred substantial property damage and/or substantial loss of personal household items essential for daily living and/or are unable to reside in their principal place of residence due to damage incurred. Please refer to the fact sheet for more detailed information of the grant.

Please note that the maximum amount of each grant is $11,450. It is possible for an applicant to receive one or both of the grants.

This grant will be available for 3 months, closing at 2pm on 11 December 2024.

The Income Threshold is based on Centrelink Low Income Health Care Card threshold limits but also provides for an expanded safety net to include recipients of low income most likely to experience difficulty.
