Community Participation and Appeals Fund

The Community Participation and Appeals Fund was established by the Tasmanian Government as a non-contestable, closed grants program, in July 2015 to provide support to significant community events, as well as charitable appeals.

The intent of the Fund is to encourage participation in community and cultural events, and to provide these important events and appeals with funding certainty, by allowing them to enter into multi-year funding agreements.

The Fund will allow each organisation to better plan for the future, and continue to stage events that have become an important part of Tasmanian community life.

In the 2019-20 State Budget, the Tasmanian Government allocated funding of $200,000 per annum over four years (2019-20 to 2022-23) to 22 recipients to support their events and appeals.
