COVID-19 Sport and Recreation Grants Program Tranche 4

Overview

The Tasmanian Government acknowledges the impact of COVID-19 and resulting sporting competition postponements and cancellations on revenues for the organisations that support these activities.

Tranche 4 of the COVID-19 Sport and Recreation Grants Program provides sport and active recreation clubs with grants of between $3 000 and $25 000 to assist with the purchase of equipment. Applicants are required to contribute at least 20 per cent of the total project cost. This is a competitive Grants Program.

Community Support Levy

Funding for the COVID-19 Sport and Recreation Grants Program Tranche 4 is allocated from the Tasmanian Government's Community Support Levy (CSL). The CSL is funded from a percentage of the gross profits from gaming machines in hotels and clubs in Tasmania.
