Public engagement - Their Majesties The King and Queen of Denmark

The Tasmanian Government is pleased to announce a public engagement with Their Majesties The King and Queen of Denmark on Thursday 19 March 2026 at 4:30pm at Hunter Street on Hobart’s waterfront.

This engagement forms part of Their Majesties’ first Official Visit to Tasmania since acceding the throne in January 2024.

The event will take place at the northern end of Hunter Street, between the Victoria Dock bridge and Davey Street. Hunter Street will be closed to traffic. Their Majesties will be accompanied by members of their delegation and the Hon Jeremy Rockliff, Premier of Tasmania.

Members of the public are encouraged to arrive early to secure a suitable viewing location. Traffic delays are expected in the area, and alternative routes or additional travel time are recommended.
