Communications Unit
Unit profile
The Communications Unit is part of the People Performance and Governance Division of the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Communications Unit provides advice and services including:
- marketing and strategic communications;
- whole of government communications;
- graphic design, print and electronic publishing;
- media management; and
- management of events and associated activities including Tasmanian Agricultural Shows and the Australia Day Program.
The Communications Unit also manages the Tasmanian Government Communications Policy and Style Guide Policy that includes the use of the Tasmanian Government logo and other brand elements.
The Unit provides advice to people from across the Tasmanian Government about how to apply the Tasmanian Government brand to create consistent communications across all channels that complement each other, clearly identify services and information provided by the Tasmanian Government and maintain a high standard of communication with the public.
