Denise Fassett
Denise is the Executive Dean of the College of Health and Medicine at the University of Tasmania. The College comprises the following organisational units: School of Medicine; School of Health Sciences; Menzies Institute for Medical Research; Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre.
Denise has broad experience in higher education, health professional regulation, health program accreditation, quality and safety and health service governance. She is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Health Science, Graduate Diploma in Aged Care Nursing, and a Master of Nursing from the University of Tasmania and a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney.
Denise is a board member of both the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, and Australian Institute of Health Service Management (AIHSM). She was appointed the inaugural Chair of the Health Council of Tasmania in 2014.
