Sustainable Transport Solution Project
The Tasmanian Government has committed to a Sustainable Transport Solution Project to consider how we could improve accessible transport for people with disability across the state.
National Disability Services Tasmania undertook a Sustainable Transport Solution project. Through research and consultation they examined the opportunities to increase accessible vehicle availability across Tasmania.
The final independent report gives an understanding of the unmet transport needs of the disability community. It also explores how a sustainable transport scheme could operate.
Next steps
The Tasmanian Government welcomes the report and will consider its findings in consultation with all stakeholders, government agencies, disability service providers and people with disability.
