Hello everyone
With 2026 now just around the corner, I would like to positively acknowledge and say thank you for the incredible work by our Tasmanian State Service in 2025.
With over 35,000 of us now working together to provide essential services to the Tasmanian community – our effort counts every single day to make Tasmania an even better place to live, work and raise our families.
We have faced some incredible challenges this year; we have mourned the heart-breaking loss of dear colleagues and we have celebrated achievements, big and small, in every workplace.
In good times and in bad, we have sought strength from our colleagues, and been inspired by their dedication, care and professionalism. Talking to many people across the service, I am constantly inspired and motivated by the many stories, the humour and the kindness shown, with Tassie always seeming to punch well above its weight!
Although I cannot see into the future, I believe 2026 will only build on the momentum of this year. By continuing to work together, we will deliver the Tasmanian Government’s priorities and ensure the best possible outcomes for the Tasmanian community.
It has been a pleasure leading the State Service in 2025 and I look forward to what we will achieve in 2026.
