About the Woolcott Review
The Woolcott Review looked at how Tasmanian Government agencies responded to information and concerns raised by the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government's Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings.
The review was led by former Australian Public Service commissioner Peter Woolcott AO. The review looked at government processes, workplace conduct, information sharing and oversight arrangements.
The review was published in 2025. It made recommendations to strengthen child safety, improve accountability and improve the way government responds to concerns about conduct.

Progress monitoring
The Child Safety Reform Implementation Monitor independently monitors, reviews and evaluates the recommendations supported, supported in part, and supported in principle by the Tasmanian Government.
This includes considering:
- progress made
- the effectiveness of actions taken

Independent oversight helps support transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
