Women Supporting Women in Leadership (WSW) is a program that supports women across the state service by providing opportunities to share experiences, learn new skills, network and develop leadership capacity. WSW provides support, motivation and confidence for women to pursue their careers and reach their full leadership potential, recognising that women’s career paths often differ from those of men. The program is led by senior women in the TSS, overseen by a Steering Committee and Working Group.
In November 2023, the WSW Program launched the Women Supporting Women in Leadership Strategy 2024-2027 (PDF 11.2MB). To achieve our vision, our Strategy focuses on five impact areas:
- Build an inclusive culture
- Acknowledge and respect diversity and address bias
- Promote women’s wellbeing
- Leadership development and support
- Accountability for progress and action
Each impact area has a number of defined outcomes and high-level actions that guide our work to support women in leadership. Each calendar year, we will develop an action plan that identifies activities to support these impact areas.
