Are you part of a community group or not-for-profit? You can apply for funding of up to $3,000 for initiatives as part of International Women's Day in 2027.

Funding is available for community-led events, activities and projects that celebrate women and their achievements and support the goals of the Equal means Equal: Tasmanian Women's Strategy 2022-2027.

Your application should demonstrate how the proposed event, activity or project contributes to one or more of the strategy's priority areas:

  • economic security
  • leadership and participation
  • safety
  • health and wellbeing.

Examples include:

  • Events that recognise and celebrate the achievements and contributions of women and girls.
  • Activities that encourage women's leadership, participation or community connection.
  • Workshops, forums or discussions that raise awareness of issues affecting women and girls.
  • Cultural, educational or community projects that promote gender equality and increase the visibility of women in Tasmania.
