Whole-Of-Government Communications Framework: Building an Even Better Tasmania

CABM-260900117

Cabinet approved the establishment of Building an Even Better Tasmania as the Tasmanian Government's overarching whole-of-government communications and branding framework. Cabinet agreed that the framework be adopted across Government agencies, State authorities and Government businesses, where appropriate, and authorised the Department of Premier and Cabinet to develop implementation guidelines and supporting communications assets.

The decision establishes a single, consistent narrative through which Government services, infrastructure investment, economic development initiatives and policy reforms can be communicated to Tasmanians. The framework is designed to improve public understanding of Government priorities, strengthen the coherence and effectiveness of government communications, and reinforce a positive, optimistic and future-focused vision for Tasmania.

Implementation of the framework will support more consistent communication across portfolios and agencies, enabling Tasmanians to better understand how individual government initiatives contribute to broader outcomes including stronger communities, improved services, enhanced infrastructure, economic growth and greater opportunity throughout the State.

The decision has no legislative or regulatory impacts and will be implemented within existing communications and advertising budgets. The framework complements existing agency branding requirements and statutory communications obligations and does not replace them.
