Cloud

The Cloud Policy was released in 2020 after extensive industry and stakeholder consultation, this policy is supported by a new Risk Assessment Guide.

Cyber Security

The Government's Cyber Security Policy provides a risk-based framework to protect government held information, systems and services. An updated version was released in 2022.

The Government’s Cyber Security Strategy drives action through three key goals: Leadership, Security by Design, and Strong Partnerships.

Information Management

Tasmania's Office of the State Archivist is leading development of the Government's Information Management Framework, which includes the relevant policies, standards and resources.

This Open Data Policy encourages agencies to share government-held data with the public for commercial and community benefit. An updated version was released in 2022

Privacy

All Tasmanian Government agencies collect, manage and use digital data and technologies for the delivery of core business and services to the Tasmanian community. Digital privacy and security are critical elements of the digital environment included in the Digital Privacy Framework.
