Hello everyone,
The mental health and safety of our entire State Service workforce is a top priority.
As we celebrate Mental Health Week across Tasmania, now is an opportune time for you to have your say on how we can improve mental health support in your workplace.
The Working Well study aims to help organisations across Tasmania enhance their approach to workplace mental health, aligning with the new Workplace Mental Health Framework. It focuses on four key themes:
- Leadership, culture, policies, and practices,
- risk management,
- education and training; and
- support services.
This study is a state-wide survey that will create a benchmark of the capabilities within Tasmanian organisations for creating and maintaining mentally healthy workplaces.
The survey seeks your views on the policies and practices, culture, training, resources and services available in your workplace to support mental health. There are also some optional questions about your own experience of mental health in the context of your work.
There are two versions of the survey, one for organisations, who are contacted separately, and one for workers which collects views on workplace mental health capabilities from Tasmanian employees, in both the public and private sectors.
All survey responses are anonymous. Your Agency will not be informed of your participation, and your identity will not be revealed in any project outputs.
The online survey takes about 20 minutes to complete, and is open to all people 18 years or older, living and working in Tasmania.
For more information about the project, please visit the Working Well website.
I encourage anyone interested to participate in this important study and help shape the future of workplace mental health in Tasmania.

Best wishes
Kath
