In December 2020, former Premier The Honourable Peter Gutwein announced that Tasmanian Government agencies would implement the Our Watch Workplace Equality and Respect Standards (the Standards). This commitment to preventing and responding to family and sexual violence was renewed in December 2022, with the release of Tasmania's Third Family and Sexual Violence Action Plan 2022-2027: Survivors at the Centre.
