3 June 2026
Tasmania’s 35 Neighbourhood Houses are key pillars of healthy, supportive and inclusive communities. They provide people of all ages with:
- place-based programs and activities
- support services and referrals
- opportunities for volunteering and skill building
- a sense of belonging and connection in the community
You’re encouraged to get involved in the current public consultation to help the Tasmanian Government better understand the demands on Houses and identify the long-term sustainability needs of the network.
Take the online survey (closes 15 June)
Volunteers, house users, local councils, community organisations, government staff or anyone interested in their local community can take the short 15-minute survey and tell us how they interact with their local Neighbourhood House.
Direct engagement with Neighbourhood Houses
KPMG have been engaged by the Tasmanian Government to run an independent consultation process directly with Neighbourhood Houses. Opportunities include:
- House survey (which is different to the above survey link and will be distributed by KPMG directly to Houses)
- Direct request for information from Houses
- Regional round tables – including an online option
