King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark concluded their 2026 Australian tour with an official visit to Tasmania on 19 March 2026.
The visit focused on sustainability, trade, and a homecoming for the Tasmanian-born Queen, featuring a public meet-and-greet at Hobart’s waterfront, a visit to Incat, The Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, MONA, the Agarian Kitchen and a formal reception at Government House.
The Department of Premier and Cabinet supported the visit in our role coordinating Tasmania's official visits and state protocols.
