An adjustment to the opening hours of the Government Contact Centre phone services (1300 135 513) has been established to better match customer needs.

The new hours will be 9am to 5pm (instead of 8am to 5.30pm).

Operated by Service Tasmania, the Government Contact Centre is a central telephone contact point for Tasmanians to enquire about government services and will continue to remain available for all Tasmanians.

The changes increase Service Tasmania staff availability during daily peak demand periods, improve responsiveness and deliver a more consistent experience for customers. They also help ensure that Service Tasmania operates in a more sustainable and efficient way.

The Government Contact Centre is supported by 27 Service Tasmania service centres throughout Tasmania, providing important face-to-face services to customers.

Several online options  further support our customers ability to do business with government in a way that best suits them. This includes the new myServiceTas app for transactions such as vehicle registration and licence renewals.
