1 July 2026

Applications are now open for the Tell Someone: Child Safety Small Grants Program 2026–27.

The program supports organisations across Tasmania to strengthen child-safe practices and help keep children and young people safe in their communities.

A total of $50,000 is available through two funding tiers:

  • Tier 1 - $500 to $2,000
  • Tier 2 - $2,001 to $10,000

The grants support practical and sustainable projects. This includes activities that build awareness of child safety, strengthen capability and skills, and support organisations to embed long-term child-safe approaches.

The program is part of the Tasmanian Government’s Tell Someone initiative, which supports adults to recognise the signs of child sexual abuse and grooming, respond appropriately to concerns and take action to keep children and young people safe. It also empowers children and young people to speak to a trusted adult.

Local organisations, clubs and community groups play an important role in supporting children and young people. Grants will support practical and sustainable projects. This includes activities that raise awareness, improve capability, and help organisations put long-term child-safe approaches in place.

Applications close at 2pm on Tuesday 25 August 2026.
