Tasracing is Tasmania's Principal Racing Authority. As a State-owned Company, Tasracing is responsible for overseeing the operation, development, and promotion of the Tasmanian racing industry. The Tasracing Board consists of seven directors:

  • a Chairperson
  • three directors with expertise across the three racing codes
  • three directors with the skills and experience needed to help the company achieve its objectives.

For the Non-Executive Director (Commercial) vacancy, candidates with the following experience and attributes are encouraged to apply:

  • expertise in accounting, finance, sports or racing integrity, or business/commercial
  • strategic and forward-looking leadership
  • strong relationship-building capability
  • an understanding of the Tasmanian economic and political environment
  • well-established networks

For the Non-Executive Director (Greyhound Code) vacancy, candidates must meet the following essential requirements:

  • experience and expertise relating to the greyhound code of racing
  • be nomination by a member of a greyhound racing club, a greyhound racing industry association, a person licensed under the Rules of Racing for the greyhound code of racing, or an owner or breeder of greyhounds
  • relevant core business skills and personal qualities as outlined in the Role Statement, to perform the duties of a director to a high standard.
