Applications are now open for one community member position on the Tasmanian Pharmacy Authority.

Applications close Sunday 9 August 2026.

The Tasmanian Pharmacy Authority administers a scheme for the registration of pharmacy business premises, approves the ownership of interests in pharmacy businesses, ensures pharmacy services are of the highest possible standard, prosecutes offences against the Pharmacy Control Act 2001, advises the minister, and performs other functions imposed by legislation.

The authority comprises three members nominated by the Secretary of the Department of Health, including two registered pharmacists and a community member who is not a pharmacist and represents the interests of consumers.
