Applications are now open for one member vacancy on the Tasmanian Game Council.
Applications close at 5:00 pm on Sunday 1 November 2026.
The Tasmanian Game Council is established by the Minister for Primary Industries and Water as an independent advisory body on game and browsing animal management and hunting in Tasmania.
Applicants should have knowledge or expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Public land management.
- Natural resource management.
- Functional knowledge of the agricultural sector.
- Functional knowledge of recreational hunting, commercial shooting, or food processing.
- Wildlife biology and scientific methods associated with wildlife management.
- Animal welfare standards in relation to wildlife management.
Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:
- Commercial use of wildlife products.
- Game and browsing wildlife impacts on forestry.
