Applications are now open for three board director vacancies on the Karinya Youth Services Tas Board.

Applications close at 5 pm on Friday 9 October 2026.

Karinya Youth Services Tas has supported young people experiencing homelessness, housing instability, family breakdown and crisis since 1979. The organisation provides crisis accommodation, transitional housing, residential and outreach support, tenancy assistance, intensive case management and practical support to young Tasmanians.

The Board is seeking values-aligned people who can contribute skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • government relations, public policy or advocacy
  • strategic partnerships and community engagement
  • fundraising, philanthropy or sponsorship
  • marketing, communications or media
  • property, asset management, development or construction
  • governance, board leadership or succession planning
  • lived experience, cultural knowledge or strong community networks.

Previous board experience is desirable but not essential. Karinya welcomes applications from people of diverse backgrounds, identities, cultures, abilities, ages and lived experiences.
