Inclusion at Work Week 2023 (03 Nov 2023)

Dear Colleagues,

Inclusion At Work Week 2023 (6 to 10 November 2023) is the Diversity Council of Australia’s week-long celebration of diversity and inclusion in Australian workplaces. Inclusion At Work Week is a great opportunity to share the important work State Service Agencies are undertaking in their workplaces; communicate why diversity and inclusion matters; outline the difference it has made in their workplace, and to encourage others to take similar action.

Building on gains in diversity and inclusion in the State Service

Fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace culture continues to be a priority for the Tasmanian State Service.  2023 Tasmanian State Service Employee Survey results showed increases in overall perceptions of inclusivity in the workplace of diverse groups. However, we recognise that improvements were not always consistent and we will focus on building this momentum to drive progress in all areas.

Diversity Council of Australia membership

The Tasmanian State Service is a proud member of the Diversity Council of Australia - an independent not-for-profit peak body informing diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The Diversity Council of Australia provides unique research, inspiring events and programs, curated resources, and expert advice across all diversity dimensions.

To support all State Services employees diversity and inclusion awareness member only resources are now accessible to all employees.
