Sarah Courtney has resigned from Parliament as Member for Bass (10 Feb 2022)

Dear colleagues

Sarah Courtney has today announced she has resigned from the Parliament as Member for Bass.

Ministers Rockliff, Barnett and Jaensch will be sworn in tomorrow taking carriage of Minister Courtney’s portfolios for the short term while the Premier considers broader Cabinet arrangements. The interim allocations of portfolios are:

Minister Rockliff

• Education

Minister Barnett

• Tourism, Hospitality and Events; and
• Skills, Training and Workforce Growth

Minister Jaensch

• Children and Youth; and
• Disability Services

The Premier will consider permanent changes to Ministries prior to the resumption of Parliament.

The Electoral Commissioner will also commence the recount in Bass.
