Jacquie Petrusma has resigned from Parliament as Member for Franklin (25 Jul 2022)

Jacquie Petrusma has today announced she has resigned from the Parliament as Member for Franklin.

Member for Braddon, Felix Ellis, will join the Cabinet, with the Premier announcing he will be Minister for Resources, Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Management and Minister for Skills, Training and Workforce Growth.

Felix will be sworn in on Wednesday, and until that point the Premier will have carriage of Minister Petrusma’s portfolios.

From Wednesday, Minister Jo Palmer will take on the portfolio of Prevention of Family Violence, while Minister Roger Jaensch will take the portfolio of Parks.

The Electoral Commissioner will also commence the recount in Franklin.
