Ministerial and Executive Services

Ministerial and Executive Services supports the Secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet and the Premier. It manages key critical issues and provides advice and support on machinery of government processes and administration of Government, and is responsible for responding to Right to Information requests (via its delegated statutory officers) and appointments of Heads of Agencies and Authorities. The Unit also incorporates the Cabinet Office.

The services provided include Protocol advice and services; support for the preparation, scrutiny and processing of documents and workflow for the Premier and DPAC’s ministers; key advice for and through the Secretary and Deputy Secretaries; and advice to the Premier’s Office, Ministerial Offices and departments on machinery of government and other administrative law matters.

Our branches and services:

The Cabinet Office which includes:
- Preparation for and support of the Cabinet process and meetings
- the Executive Council Secretariat
- the Ministerial Transport Service; and
Executive Services which includes:
- Routine Disclosures
- machinery of Government advice and services
- liaison with, and the seeking of legal advice from, the Solicitor General
- management of Heads of Agency contractual arrangements
- ministerial and departmental workflow
- direct support to the Secretary; and

Protocol (including flags, honours, congratulatory messages and official visits)

management of Right to Information requests for DPAC.
