DPAC Strategic Plan 2023-2026

DPAC’s Strategic Plan 2023-2026 (the Plan) is a guide for DPAC to lead the Tasmanian State Service and support the Government to achieve the best possible outcomes for the Tasmanian community. It is the culmination of several months’ work and collaboration by the Executive team, the Divisional Leadership Group, and representatives from across the Department.

It was important for the Plan to be flexible enough to allow for the dynamic and constantly changing environment of the Department, whilst still providing overall strategic direction for the Department. A two-page strategic plan is the result.

The first page of DPAC’s Strategic Plan 2023-2026 captures:

• Our Commitment: “We put the Tasmanian people at the heart of our advice and services”
• Our Vision: “We partner with others to advise on and deliver the government’s priorities ensuring the best possible outcomes for the Tasmanian community”, and
• Our Values: “Respect, Excellence, Professional, Customer Focus, Working Together”, as these underpin all that we do.

It also includes a diagram to demonstrate how our planning matrix supports the delivery of Government policy and priorities, and DPAC-wide priorities.

The second page of the Plan summarises the priorities for the Executive team, the Divisional Leadership Group, and for each Division for the year. This page will be updated annually to reflect the priorities for that year.

For 2023, DPAC’s Big Picture Outcomes are to:

• Ensure DPAC is an excellent place to work
• Lead the Premier’s Priorities
• Lead digital transformation in Government and Community
• Maintain a contemporary State Service
