Your organisation will need to submit a formal application form.

Note: This first grant opened on 5 August 2009 and applications closed on 2 September 2009. The next grant will open in February 2010.

Your application will need to demonstrate:

  • the demand for the type of vehicle within the community, and that the demand cannot be met by existing services
  • the ability to operate and manage the transport service, through passenger use and possibly volunteers
  • the ability to ensure the transport service is sustainable and can cover recurrent costs, including registration, fuel, maintenance and motor accident insurance.

Applications are sought for projects that are community-led and show innovation in addressing transport disadvantage and building social inclusion.

Make sure your application is complete and provides all the requested information so it can be properly assessed. Carefully read the Guide to the application form that is available online or as part of the application form.
