Social Inclusion Unit

The Tasmanian Government’s Social Inclusion Unit works with all levels of government, the community and business sectors to develop solutions to disadvantage that deliver practical results in the Tasmanian community. It promotes inclusive communities where all people are kind and connected and can participate in the social and economic life of Tasmania.

The Premier of Tasmania refers important community issues to the Social Inclusion Commissioner for Tasmania and the Unit acts on these key references.

The Unit will also develop a whole-of-government and whole-of-community Social Inclusion Strategy in consultation with the community sector.
