Phased in retirement

A strategy that assists mature-age employees in making the significant transition from employment to retirement while also assisting agencies to better manage knowledge and skill transfers through succession planning, mentoring and workforce renewal.
Workplace giving
Workplace giving allows employees to donate money on a regular basis to a deductible gift recipient (DGR) directly through their pay.
Aurora bill pay
Allows State Service employees to make advance payments on their Aurora Energy electricity account by nominating an amount to be deducted directly from their pay each pay period and credited to their Aurora Energy account (minimum deduction of $15.00 per pay period).

This program aims to increase the number of persons with disabilities employed in the State Service.
State Service internships
A cooperative venture between the University of Tasmania and the Government to encourage talented young graduates to undertake a research project within State Service Agencies for a period of approximately fourteen weeks.
Tasmanian Government work placement program
This program is designed to assist new migrants and humanitarian entrants to gain experience in an Australian work culture.
