Proposed Amendments to the Local Government (General) Regulations 2015

The Government has released draft amendments to the Local Government (General) Regulations 2015 (the Regulations) for consultation.

The draft amendments propose changes to Schedule 6 of the Regulations, to bring the prescribed questions for Council land information certificates in line with recent legislative changes to the Tasmanian Planning System and the Building Act 2016 and Building Regulations 2016.

The Right to Information Act 2009 and confidentiality

By law, information provided to the Government may be provided to an applicant under the provisions of the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI).
