Oatlands (Southern Midlands Council)In response to the community’s desire for an improved streetscape, the Southern Midlands Council sought main street makeover funding to convert all power lines along the main street of Oatlands to underground cables. The removal of overhead power lines has un-cluttered the streetscape and built on the heritage image in Oatlands. The makeover included the installation of street lights and poles that contribute to the heritage charm of Oatlands.
