The Government Information and Services Division provides:

• policy advice to government
• whole-of-government information technology, information management and information systems strategy and policy
• electronic service delivery across government
• project management methodology and advisory services
• information and communications technologies related policies and practice
• provides advice to Government and Agencies on telecommunications and information technology issues

It consists of three units:

 Service Tasmania Unit

 Inter Agency Policy and Projects Unit

 TMD

The Government Information and Services Division Management Group ensures that these units work collaboratively in areas where policy and service delivery go hand-in-hand.
