Cyber Security
Policy
The Tasmanian Government's Cyber Security Policy provides a risk-based framework for the protection of government-held information, systems and services.
Standards
Under the Policy, all Tasmanian Government agencies are responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of cyber security standards to improve agencies' baseline security.
Standards are being developed incrementally through a consultative framework, led by a whole-of-government working group that reports to the Digital Services Advisory Group.
- The Email and Messaging Cyber Security Standard describes the minimum requirements for securing Tasmanian Government email and messaging systems.
- The Identity and Access Cyber Security Standard describes minimum requirements for authorising and verifying the identity of individuals that access Tasmanian Government information, systems and services as part of their employment, volunteering duties, or contractual relationship.
- The Incident Management Cyber Security Standard describes the minimum requirements for the development of a structured incident management framework.
