Liveable Communities Grant Program

In May 2017, the Tasmanian Government released the Strong, Liveable Communities: Tasmania’s Active Ageing Plan 2017-2022.

The Liveable Communities Grants Program is one of the key initiatives developed to support implementation of the Plan. Funding will be directed towards innovative and strategic projects that aim to make local communities more responsive and inclusive of the needs of older people.

The program provides funding for interested, well-placed and strategically-ready local councils or local government authorities to run a pilot project in their community, to improve its liveability.

Liveable Communities Toolkit
