Properties and Procurement manages works and services to the buildings that are occupied by the Department of Premier and Cabinet, and Ministerial and Regional Office staff. We oversee the Department’s building leases and rental arrangements, capital improvements, office fitouts and refurbishments.
We manage the maintenance and repair of Departmental assets, including property maintenance and repairs, vehicle maintenance, general equipment maintenance and servicing, as well as agreements for contract cleaning and waste removal.
We are responsible for the Department’s vehicle fleet. This includes cars provided under employment contracts, G-plated vehicles, parking arrangements and managing the Ministerial Transport Service.
We provide procurement advice and support to project managers to ensure the Department’s compliance with the relevant Treasurer’s Instructions. We also conduct major procurements on behalf of the Department and report on the Department’s procurement and contracting activity.
We coordinate the efficient supply of goods and services to Business Units and Divisions within the Department, and administer the ordering and purchasing processes for stationery, office requisites and other goods and services.
We also coordinate security procedures for the Department and manage the Courier Service. The Courier Service collects and sorts incoming and outgoing mail and parcels for all Government agencies, some GBEs and other Government offices, and manages contracts for Government mail delivery to and from the North and North-West of the State.
