DPAC Library and Information Services

The Library and Information Service is a Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPAC) corporate function.

Library collection strengths

Books, journals and electronic resources constitute a collection that covers the following broad policy areas:

  • Policy issues and trends occupying the government of the day

  • Community development issues including: women, people with disabilities, seniors, aboriginal affairs, multiculturalism and refugees, children and young people, and building the capacity of Tasmanians to work collectively to address common interests

  • Local government, including partnerships

  • Utilising Information Communications Technology (ICT) to provide and enhance shared services

  • Whole-of-Government frameworks for information management, information identity and security, and Tasmanian Government project management resources

  • Public employment, public sector management, leadership and organisational change, and human resource issues

  • Climate change.

Library hours

9 am - 5 pm.

The Library is not open to the public, however items identified in the Library's online catalogue may be borrowed via the interlibrary loan facility in your library.
